My colour story mood board is a reflection of my colour pallete which I have named 'Marsala meets Aluminium’, the idea behind this story is to communicate a particular trend, I wanted to challenge the stereotypical autumnal colour theme and add a modern twist, adding a zesty mustard and sharp metallic shades. using the pantone website I found the colours ‘Marsala’ and ‘Aluminium’ and found the reflected my palette perfectly.
After creating my colour story, I started to experiment and research brands that could incorporate my palette into their own collections. I deliberated over Zara and Balmain as I feel they both portray the same slick and sophisticated feel through their garments, however, I found Balmain sometimes use slightly warmer tones, in-fitting with my story.
